Reviewed learning content
Lessons, stories, questions, games and Conversation Missions are prepared for Chingelish’s two learner groups and reviewed before children use them. The two groups follow different vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, listening and speaking expectations.
Guided Conversation Missions
Conversation Missions are not open-ended chat. Children follow reviewed branching dialogues, choose or speak approved response alternatives, and receive fixed age-appropriate feedback. A response can lead to extra practice or a more challenging branch.
Speaking and listening technology
Read-aloud text is sent through the Lovable speech gateway to the configured OpenAI gpt-4o-mini-tts model. When a recording is submitted, its audio is uploaded through the app and the gateway to gpt-4o-mini-transcribe. The transcript can be matched to expected answers; pronunciation feedback uses deterministic scoring, not an open-ended generative reply.
Microphone recording is optional. You can decline permission, stop capture and use non-recording learning and written responses where offered. Browser microphone permission is not proof of parental authority or consent to unrelated uses. Avoid recording names, addresses or other private information.
The app’s speech handlers forward audio for processing rather than deliberately saving an audio file as a permanent recording. This does not confirm zero retention, no training or processing in a particular country by infrastructure or upstream providers. Conversation transcripts and feedback can remain in learning history. Read the Privacy Policy and Parent Consent & Data Rights before using recording features.
Speech recognition and scores can be inaccurate, particularly with children’s voices, accents, background noise or disabilities. Scores are practice feedback, not clinical, biometric identity or high-stakes educational assessments. The configured application scoring does not perform speaker identification or emotion diagnosis; upstream provider practices require separate verification.
Content development
Technology may support Chingelish staff when drafting or checking future material. New material is reviewed and approved before it becomes available to learners.
Parent supervision
Chingelish is an educational aid, not a replacement for a school or qualified teacher. Parents and guardians should supervise use, review progress and contact support@chingelish.com if anything appears unsuitable or incorrect.
